Guess what start's today?

Today is the start of hurricane season!
Let the dreaded season begin!
Every year we at least have a couple scares, and a couple day's of cabin fever.
Let's pray that this year is not a active season ::knocking on wood::
But just in case, check out this checklist!
It's always better to be prepared!

Memorial Weekend

This weekend was a fun, relaxing one. Filled with lots to do!
Between birthday parties, quiet days at home, and beach days, we made sure we had a great time!
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and took some time to send a prayer for those who serve our country! Thank you!

....[Honeymoon]

More on the hotel!
I forgot to post some other pictures of the room and a little surprise!
Our comfortable bed!

Beautiful marble shower! Huge shower!!

Private toilet with glass door!

And here is our surprise!
Team Barcelona! A futbol aka Soccer team!
This sport is huge in this country!
The bell boy had told us that the team was staying overnight at the hotel. I was like "Cool!"
So as soon as I heard buses approach the hotel. I opened our patio door, and started to take some snapshots!
There was a small crowd gathered groupies waiting for the team. They were all cheering the teams arrival!
Here are a few snapshots!

Checking in! Barcelona [Honeymoon]

Welcome to Barcelona!

As soon as we landed, we quickly grabbed our bags the Barcelona Airport knows how to work quick.. exchanged some money, and grabbed a taxi!
Oh! And of course our coats! It was in the 30's outside. It was nice to wear our nice coats, while stepping out in Barcelona!

Then it was straight to our hotel!

The hotel we were staying in was called Gran Hotel La Florida

The hotel was a 20 minute drive from the city, and it was so beautiful! It was situated on top of a mountain, with a breathtaking view of the city! It was a very secluded, private resort! Perfect for newlyweds :)

The hotel had it all! Private rooms, beautiful views, spa, gracious staff, and yummy food!

We were treated like stars! Early check in! Which was great when you are coming from a 9 hour or so flight. Plus complimentary water and delicious fruit! Oh, and of course some wine!

It was a perfect beginning to what was our honeymoon..

Our room like I said was great! I had a fear that it was going to be small, and uncomfortable. Boy was I wrong! The room was equipped with a flat screen, yummy bed, modern yet rustic decor, and a great view!

This was the entrance to our room..

Our TV and the furnishing in the room! I love those chairs..Oh and our baggage!

The door to our private patio!

Standing outside on the patio! Love this view!

Side view

The hotel had to two different restaurants. Both were very nice! But after our long nap well deserved we put on our swimsuits and headed to the hot tub! I'll be doing a post on their beautiful pool and spa.
After that relaxing trip to the hot tub, we were starving! So we went down and had a delicious dinner! We were the only ones dinning that night. It was quiet, and every table had candles lit! It was very romantic.
It was nice to just sit there, eat a great meal, and have a glass of wine.

And of course! Our cafecito!
Every night we made sure to have it..

After our cafecito, it was time for bed :)
We had a full day ahead of us to explore Barcelona!!

And we are off! [Honeymoon]

What's the best part of getting married?? Besides making it official with husbone aka Lover..The honeymoon of course!!
We were fortunate enough to be given a great honeymoon from my in-laws! Thank you!
After the wedding, we jetted off to Europe, where we had the time of our lives!
Our itinerary was as follows:
- 2 nights in Barcelona, Spain
- 9 day Mediterranean Cruise
- 1 night in Barcelona, Spain
It was a great, memorable trip! Which I will document for you all :)
Sooo...here we go!
Part 1- The beginning!
Here we were waiting patiently for our flight to board! We traveled on Iberia Airlines, which I recommend! At this point we were so excited to leave! We couldn't wait to endure the 9 hours or so flight! But it was all worth it!

Here is my husbone!! Flashing his wedding ring! I love it!
We were waiting in line to board our flight..

How perfect was this flight? They offered free wine! And from what I noticed, everyone else went for seconds throughout the flight!
We were both pretty psyched about it! We took advantage, and celebrated mid air!
Luckily our flight left Miami at 7 in the evening, so we were able to get some rest on the plane.

We arrived in Spain!! Madrid to be exact! We had a one hour lay over, so I decided to shoot some some photos of the airport! Which I later found out that it was not permitted. The airport had a very edgy design to it. Very modern.
We gazed around, found our way to the Non European line, and got our passports stamped!!
We made it to our gate, and almost missed our connecting flight to Barcelona..That's what bocadillos a delicious sandwich does to you!

An hour later we were in Barcelona!
As we exited the plane, all we can do is look around! We were no longer in a terminal in the United States. We were in Europe! Whole different ball game.
So we scurried to baggage claim to wait for our multiple bags! Yes, multiple. When you travel to Europe, lot's of different wardrobes are needed!

Baggage Claim 15!!

Let the adventures begin!!
Off to the hotel in Barcelona...
