Weekend Recap!

It's crunch time!! With Christmas right around the corner --literally!

There are barely days left of last minute shopping, and preparation for Christmas! So much to do, so little time..But it's the rush and excitement that get me through these couple days. Reading "Last chance before Christmas" gets me all giddy!!!

This weekend was a productive one! Here is what went on, courtesy of bullets!

  Friday afternoon husbone and I headed off to the stores and got some last minutes gifts. We wew victorious!

  Later that night I had my Christmas party for work. I was dreading going by myself, but ended up having a great night!! Open bar always saves the day :)

  Saturday and Sunday husbone was away for work so I took advantage of the weekend to sleep in, shop, and have coffee with my sister --I loveeee me some Starbucks!

There are still some gifts that I need to get, maybe one more trip to Michael's, and Target, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I think I might compile a to-do-list later!! We shall see!!

Weekend Recap!

This is how I feel on this Monday afternoon! Tired..I've been yawning all day, and to make matters worse, I think I might be coming down with something --no bueno! So I will be popping some Zicam as soon as I get home..

Last week was a very busy week for us. We had lots to do around the house in preparations for our Christmas party. I'm happy to report, that everything was finished right on time! Our home is starting to feel like home! I finished decorating the house with all our Christmas decorations and gave it the warm feeling it deserved! We also painted, and I finally cleaned out our office! --That by itself was a never ending project! I'm so happy I now have a safe haven to blog :)

The Party was a success! It was small and intimate. I think I get an A+ for hostessing!! I made sure there was plenty of food, and that everyone was comfortable! Between husbone and I, we definitely know hoe to plan a party..

We still have lots of booze left..Maybe we should throw another party?? lol

Sunday we slept in, had some breakfast at our local Starbucks, and had a lazy day at the in laws. It was a great, relaxing Sunday..

Weekend Recap/12 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 12-14

Oh Monday! You came so quickly..

This weekend was a non stop, jammed packed weekend. With our upcoming Christmas party, we've been very busy getting the house ready for our guests. With so many projects, I really hope that we will have everything finished by Saturday --praying!

Besides that, our weekend was short & fun! Sunday we enjoyed a fun filled day of tailgating, and watching some good old football, with a trip to Starbucks to end our weekend. All in all it was a great weekend!

Now it's back to the grind!!

I am hoping to the time fairies give me more hours of the day in order to accomplish everything..

It is so yummy!! Especially with a glass of milk! Definitely worth trying :)

Day 14 - Oprah's Favorite Things: What items I would like to receive if I was part of her studio audience?

I don't watch Oprah, but i have seen clips of "favorite things" episodes in the news. People crying, ect. Very comical! But if I had the chance of winning something in her audience, I would like:

• A trip anywhere
• A new car
• Money

Weekend Recap!

Wow! I've never been so relieved for it to be Monday!!

I want to get back into the lingo, and stop the eating! --Literally! Don't get me wrong, it was a nice break! I definitely got lots of rest, and was able to just sit back and do "whatever." Our Thanksgiving dinner was nice! It was quiet & yummy! I spent the day baking Paula Deans Pumpkin Bars! They were delicious! By far my favorite pumpkin recipe ( I will post recipe on Wednesday.) I spent Thanksgiving at my parents house. Husbone had to work, so I was solo for the holiday. I missed him..but knowing how important his job is, and how many people rely on his services, I understood. We have many many more years of holidays to share!

It was nice to sleep in Friday --I decided no to partake in any early Black Friday Sales

I'm going to be doing most of my shopping online this year. It's just easier, and you can't beat free shipping!! After my morning coffee, husbone arrived from work and we decided to put up the tree! This will be our first Christmas tree!! We bought a nice, fluffy artificial tree from Target last week --On sale!! It was so nice to see the tree up! --Pictures to come soon!!

After assembling the tree we were still in need of some more Christmas decorations, so we headed to our local Home Depot. They had some great sales going on..I was able to score lots of decorations, and we also purchased some Christmas gifts!

Friday night we made it "Date night." I've been eyeing this one restaurant, and decided it would be nice to explore it! I got all dolled up, and headed out to dinner! Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill was delicious! The food was great! The style was unique, and everything was just fabulous! It was such great night!!

Saturday I ventured off to Jo Ann Fabrics and bought some more Christmas decorations! I had some coupons, and I was able to save $61!! --Love it!

I think I've become obsessed with this season! All I want to do is decorate!! lol! Luckily the rest of the weekend was spent relaxing, and staying in!!

Ohh and don't forget..Today is Cyber Monday! So take advantage of all those online deals!!

Weekend Recap!

Can someone say 3 day work week?? Wohoo!

This week will be a short one! -- Thank you Thanksgiving! Can't wait :)

This past weekend was a non busy, no fuss type of weekend. Saturday I went to get a mani/pedi! I went for a nice dark Essie color. Not sure the name of the polish, but it's just lovely! Afterwards I met husbone at home, and we bbq and watched a couple movies --Perfect afternoon! Around 7 o'clock, our tummies were craving some sweet! So we went to our local Coldstones and satisfied our sweet tooth!! This was a perfect way to end out night..

Sunday we headed to a toy Story themed party! The birthday girl was celebrating her 2nd birthday! --So cute! We saw family & friends, so it was nice to hang out, and catch up with everyone..

From there we went to our local Starbucks for a afternoon treat, and headed home to spend the rest of our night at home..

Looking forward for this short work week, and lots of eating :)

It's Friday!! Which means the weekend is here, and a 3 day week next week!

Weekend Recap!

Home Sweet home!!

Husbone made it back safe and sound Friday night..Indeed a nice surprise!

From that moment on, we spent it in pure relaxation!! Sleeping in, munching, couch time, movies! Paradise...

I definitely feel well rested!

We also squeezed in some errands that had to be run. Our fridge was on the empty side! No bueno..

We also discussed our holiday plans, and decided it would be nice to throw a Christmas party..A themed one! "Tacky Christmas Sweater" Party!! Can't wait to start planning!! All I can think about is Peppermint martinis!!! Planning mode is in full gear..

In other news..it's no secret that I am a Jessica Simpson fan! (This week I will be a posting a celebrity post on her)

I love her songs, her clothes, shoes, everything! So when I heard the news that she was engaged, I was stocked! Everyone deserves happiness, and the fact that she was able to find love after her divorce, and failed relationships.. I'm happy for her!

Weekend Recap!

{Sigh} Back to reality!

This weekend we decided to take off and enjoy some delicious food and drinks at the International Food & Wine Festival in Epcot {Orlando} We had a great time! We tasted so many different kinds of food! It was an overload of food! Plus we also tasted all types of wines, beers, and of course champagnes! It was divine!

I can't wait till next year!

On Sunday we ventured of to Downtown Disney, grabbed some lunch and headed straight to the Outlet Mall! All in all is was a great weekend! So sad to see it end, but we have Halloween right around the corner....

Weekend Recap

This weekend was basically all about "me & you." The weekend was spent ordering in, and eating in! Just what the doctor ordered. After a long work week, it was nice to light up some candles, and have some couch time! I mean hello! That's why we have such a comfy couch :)

All in all it was a nice weekend! Pretty psyched about this week! Many big things happening, plus we leave on Friday for a mini getaway!

I'm counting down the days till Friday..
