FIJI!! I would love to pick up and go! For about month? Give or take. Explore every island, sight see, go on an adventure, be wild and crazy! Oh, and of course...lots of sun bathing and margaritas!! One day..One day..

So who is keeping up with the RHOMIA? As promised, I have recap!

Christy in tonight's episode hosted a luncheon with a Cuban Chef who used a crock pot to make a authentic Cuban meal. Yeah, way to bring down our Cuban community! I think Christy should have had my grandma making some 'Real Cuban food.' Also, she party crashed Lea's Charity Gala, and did not pay the $500 ticket price, or donate to her charity. I have a feeling the drama has just started...

Alexia this episode was all over the place. She made headline's in our local paper: The Miami Herald. On last night's episode she slammed the people of Hialeah. Hialeah is a big city located near Miami with a high population of Cuban decent. It's where most people have planted their roots. For Alexia to make the comments she made about was wrong and flat out rude! Especially since her current husband used to be heavily involved in Hialeah politic. She has recently apologized for her remarks.

She also compares herself a lot like Adriana..Interesting!

Besides telling Adriana to get rid of her fiance, we also learned that she loves firing her nannies! She get's a thrill out it! Odd! She started off the season stating she does everything around the house, yet she has a bus load of help.

Lea this episode through a huge Gala promoting her Charity! We also learned she love Joe Francis aka Girls Gone Wild creator..Just lovely!

Can't wait to tune in to the next episode when she sends Christy an invoice for attending the Gala!!

She was very quiet this episode. She handled Lea's red carpet, and sipped some wine with her lover. That's about it!

Adriana in this episode didn't walk the cat walk. She attended Christy's luncheon, forgot to pick up her son, and then got into an argument with her fiance aka "frenchman" about picking up son. No worries, her son was picked up, not left in a parking lot.

Oh, and who can forget about momma?? I find her entertaining! Maybe because I have a Cuban mother with an accent. But what is wrong with her face?? Did she have a botched surgery?? Did she intend to look this way? It's not normal..I'm going to have to google thins woman! lol! I need answers.

Anyhoot! I hope you all enjoy my recap! Tune in next week. I'm sure the drama will continue...

This definitely not my favorite housewives franchise, but it is my hometwon! So I will watch no matter what. Let's hope for a better season.

Good morning you all!!

I don't know about you, but I am dragging my stilettos this morning. I think I stayed up wayy to late last night watching the Oscars and having an unlimited amount of vino! --But luckily it's once year! Nothing a double shot can't fix!

So what did you guys think about the Oscars last night? I thought the host's did OK. I expected a little more. There were no surprises. The King's Speech and Toy Story seemed to have done very well! All in all it was a good award show. Definitely worth staying up for!

Oh, and my favorite pick of the night...

Mila Kunis

I think she looked gorgeous in that dress! Just gorgeous!! She's had an amazing award season. All her dress picks have been on point!

Besides last night's award show, the weekend turned out to be pretty productive! I was able to tackle ALL the laundry, clean, and go grocery shopping! Now our fridge and pantry are happy :)

So it's no secret that today is Monday, and that most of us dread it, but I'm going to look at it as "my day." It's going to be "my week." Make it a good one!!!!

Anyone who reads my blog or my tweets will have noticed that I am a huge fan of the Real Housewives franchise! You name it, I like! So when the rumor was circulating that there was going to be a Real Housewives of Miami (RHOMIA) I was thrilled!! Maybe because it;s my native city? But who doesn't love Miami?!

So here is my short recap about Tuesday's premier: I expected a little more. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. The cast is very diverse. Filled with different personalities. The six ladies are beautiful and and well accomplished! Not too much was learned in this episode, but I will definitely be tuning in for next weeks episode.

I've been looking forward for this season for a bit now. Miami is my home, and a beautiful one if I might say..So expect a recap manana!!

Not much planned this week. Husbone is currently away, and I am taking advantage of that! Microwavable dinners, take out, and ice cream in bed! Which will compensate for me missing him..

I am all smiles today know that the weekend is a hop scotch away! Sure I am tired, sleep deprived, and hungry {Haven't had lunch yet} But after looking over the weather, I am super stoked to venture of to the beach this weekend, and catch some rays! Sigh..

This is just a reminder that summer is right around the corner! And that beach weekends will be a weekly routine!

With that said, there is still work to be done. Deadlines, new projects, and more..So after work I will go ahead and treat myself to a mani/pedi! I am counting the hours of the day! Just to sit a relax for an hour is music to my ears!

I am getting back into the flow of things. I took a little hiatus! But I am back in full force! I owe you all many updates! So I will save my updates + pictures for a future post! Now onto better things! Valentine's Day was yesterday, and what a nice evening it was.. Husbone and I decided to make a romantic evening out of it, in the comfort of our love nest! He was in charge of dinner, and I was in charge of dessert! Match made in heaven!!

On the menu: Ribeye steaks, asparagus, and chocolate covered strawberries! --Delicious!

Oh, and lots of wine!

After dinner we enjoyed a movie --The Killers

All in all it was a great night!!

Now onto Top Tuesday!

The trend this year at the Grammy's were metallic! The two fashionistas that I thought rocked were Jennifer Lopez in a mini metallic dress that looked amazing on her!!

The 2nd fashionista's dress that I loved was Kim Kardashian. It was a fierce choice!! I loved that the dress had a plunging neckline, and a high slit! --Very vixen!

During this time of year --particularly these last couple of days before Christmas

I like to turn on the tv, and watch Christmas movies! From new ones, to old ones. It just gives me that Christmas spirit that tends to come and go, during these last couple of stressful days. I'm hoping to get home later tonight, and watch some movies :)

Favorite Christmas Memory

One of my fondest Christmas memories is being a kid in general. Making a list, send it off to the North Pole, and make sure I behaves because Santa was always on the look out! Then preparing cookies and milk for Santa, because you know how much Santa loves his cookies!! Then I would run upstairs, get into bed, and hope to hear the sled bells! --sigh!

Then waking up Christmas morning, and running to the tree to see if I received any presents!! Oh, I so wish I could go back to those days! But I do realize that things get better as you get older, and that eventually I will be able to experience those type of memories with my future children..

I can't wait to read everyone elses "Favorite Christmas memories."

Weekend Recap!

It's crunch time!! With Christmas right around the corner --literally!

There are barely days left of last minute shopping, and preparation for Christmas! So much to do, so little time..But it's the rush and excitement that get me through these couple days. Reading "Last chance before Christmas" gets me all giddy!!!

This weekend was a productive one! Here is what went on, courtesy of bullets!

Friday afternoon husbone and I headed off to the stores and got some last minutes gifts. We wew victorious!

Later that night I had my Christmas party for work. I was dreading going by myself, but ended up having a great night!! Open bar always saves the day :)

Saturday and Sunday husbone was away for work so I took advantage of the weekend to sleep in, shop, and have coffee with my sister --I loveeee me some Starbucks!

There are still some gifts that I need to get, maybe one more trip to Michael's, and Target, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I think I might compile a to-do-list later!! We shall see!!

This week has been insanely busy. I have so much to do, and so little time to do it! I can't believe Christmas is in a week..I know I sound like a broken record, but it's insane how fast Christmas has just creeped up on us. I still have shopping to do, but I am confident it will all get done by the weekend. Plus this year we decided on DIY gifts for some family members, so I can't wait to finish those up (I'll post pictures of the finished project.)

Ornament Exchange!

When I heard about the ornament exchange over at Webbisodes, I was like "Count me in."

Nothing brings more joy to me than Christmas! So why not enjoy it with all my blogger friends!

I recently had the pleasure in being paired with Marcy, from Marcy Mazin' Moment.

Right from the geco we started exchanging e-mails and getting to know each other. We found that we had lots in common, and most of all you can tell she is a great gal!

Recipe Wednesday!

With the recent cold temperatures, I've decide to incorporate something hot & yummy..So of course the first thing that came into mind was hot chocolate!!

It's a simple recipe for a cold day out..

Ingredients:

4 cups milk

1/3 cup semisweet chocolate, grated

1 tablespoon white sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg

Directions:

Put milk into a microwave-safe container and cook on High in microwave for 2 minutes. Mix in chocolate, sugar, and cinnamon. In a small bowl, whisk an egg until smooth, then mix into chocolate mixture.

Return to microwave and cook on High for 3 minutes or until foamy (Do not let it boil.) Whisk until smooth and pour into mugs.

*Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired and marshmallows*

-Serving for 4

'Baby it's Cold Outside'

It's cold outside!!! I know I know..What we consider cold down here is nothing like up North, but for us Floridians, this is something out of the ordinary!!

I've had to take out coats, scarves and mittens!! lol! It's so cold..I've also been able to have great hair days!! 0% humidity! Wohoo..

It definitely gives us that "Christmas" feeling!! BTW can you believe we are 11 days away? INSANE! Where has this year gone? With that thought, I so need to finish all my Christmas shopping! Let's just say I've been more focused on making a list, than actually getting anything done. So I am hoping to get some much needed shopping done this week.

OR... I might just do some shopping tonight from the comfort of the couch, with some hot chocolate!!! yummmm!

This is how I feel on this Monday afternoon! Tired..I've been yawning all day, and to make matters worse, I think I might be coming down with something --no bueno! So I will be popping some Zicam as soon as I get home..

Last week was a very busy week for us. We had lots to do around the house in preparations for our Christmas party. I'm happy to report, that everything was finished right on time! Our home is starting to feel like home! I finished decorating the house with all our Christmas decorations and gave it the warm feeling it deserved! We also painted, and I finally cleaned out our office! --That by itself was a never ending project! I'm so happy I now have a safe haven to blog :)

The Party was a success! It was small and intimate. I think I get an A+ for hostessing!! I made sure there was plenty of food, and that everyone was comfortable! Between husbone and I, we definitely know hoe to plan a party..

We still have lots of booze left..Maybe we should throw another party?? lol

Sunday we slept in, had some breakfast at our local Starbucks, and had a lazy day at the in laws. It was a great, relaxing Sunday..

This weekend was a non stop, jammed packed weekend. With our upcoming Christmas party, we've been very busy getting the house ready for our guests. With so many projects, I really hope that we will have everything finished by Saturday --praying!

Besides that, our weekend was short & fun! Sunday we enjoyed a fun filled day of tailgating, and watching some good old football, with a trip to Starbucks to end our weekend. All in all it was a great weekend!

Now it's back to the grind!!

I am hoping to the time fairies give me more hours of the day in order to accomplish everything..

New Years Resolution(s)

I can't believe we are are almost done with Aly's & Molly's Christmas challenge! I am really going to miss reading every one's post! --sigh!

Anyhow, the subject today is New Years resolution's! 2010 has been a great year! I accomplished many great things! I passed the Florida Bar, Planned a wedding, Got married, and landed a dream job! I am so blessed! Which means that 2011 will be even better :)

After thinking about things I would love to improve, I came up with the following New Years Resolutions:

Exercise on a regular basis! Just not short term!

Eat healthier! More fruits and veggies!

Stress less! I know it sounds impossible, but limiting it is key!

Save more money! You can never have enough money saved.

Create a Bucket list!! And start crossing items out!

Can you believe it's almost 2011?? Wow! this year has passed so quickly!!

Wohoo for December!!! I can't believe you have finally arrived! I have my Christmas music blasting, and I am officially all geared up for Christmas! Especially with this lovely weather we are having! If anyone knows anything about Miami, you will know we don't experience the seasons like everyone else. It's usually hot and muggy all year round. Luckily we have been blessed with a cold front that has brought us some cool weather! --Yay!! I will so be wearing my boots and light sweaters...

This weekend I will be hard at work with lots of Christmas projects. Next week we are hosting a Christmas Party that I am not ready at all for! This party has creeped up on me, and I need to get a game plan going. I also want to finish putting up all the Christmas decor. I have so many little projects that I want to get started on, so maybe by cranking up the Christmas music I can get some much needed work done. --Sigh!

It will be a be a weekend to open up some windows and be productive!!

{Top 2} Cleaning/Organizing Tips & Tricks

This is one of my favorite things in the world: Cleaning!! I love it! I am a clean freak! I literally drive everyone around me insane..--My poor husbone!

First thing you need to do is get your needed supplies. There are some things that I live by. Things that help me clean up around the house. Here are a couple of things:

The Roomba! It vacuums the whole house in less than an hour! I usually push the bottom before I go to work! I find it nice to come home to a clean house :)

I love the way a clean house smells! Pine-sol does the job!!

I love wiping the counters and the bathrooms with these! Disinfecting is a must to have a clean house..

This is the best candle out there to get rid of that unwanted odor in the house. Usually when I cook, or when the dogs are a little smelly, this does the job!

Another great Febreeze product! This I use to freshen up the furniture & carpet.

Other tips I follow to clean and organize the house are:

Pick up around the house everyday. A little goes a long way
Do dishes every morning
Clean counter tops everyday
Designate one day for doing laundry/ironing
Designate one day for mopping

*A helpful trick: I pour a little bit of Pine-sol in the bathroom garbage basket. It give the bathroom a great scent, and it's especially great for when you are having company over!

Least Favorite Thing About the Holiday's..

STRESS!!!!!!

Oh I love Christmas..I really do! But..there is always a downside.

Stress is a big factor during this holiday season. We are all always trying to find the right gift, trying to make time to go shopping, wrapping, baking, cooking, eating, pleasing both sides of the family, makes it a little difficult to enjoy the holiday season. Sure we can control many aspects of this, but it I think stress is inevitable!

That's why this year I will join:

Gift Ideas for ME!!

I usually don't make any Christmas lists, but I thought it would be fun to ponder some gifts ideas for myself! Here is what I came up it:

Holiday Crafts/DIY

This year I will be turning on he creative light bulb in my head! I am planing on DIY Christmas gifts!! I'm planning on buying lots of mason jars, and fill them with yummy treats! I am going to be filling a couple with Hot Chocolate mix, Chocolate Chip Cookie mix, and some other treats! I will be handcrafting them with ribbon, bows, and a recipe card! I'm sure it will be a hit :)

Wow! I've never been so relieved for it to be Monday!!

I want to get back into the lingo, and stop the eating! --Literally! Don't get me wrong, it was a nice break! I definitely got lots of rest, and was able to just sit back and do "whatever." Our Thanksgiving dinner was nice! It was quiet & yummy! I spent the day baking Paula Deans Pumpkin Bars! They were delicious! By far my favorite pumpkin recipe ( I will post recipe on Wednesday.) I spent Thanksgiving at my parents house. Husbone had to work, so I was solo for the holiday. I missed him..but knowing how important his job is, and how many people rely on his services, I understood. We have many many more years of holidays to share!

It was nice to sleep in Friday --I decided no to partake in any early Black Friday Sales

I'm going to be doing most of my shopping online this year. It's just easier, and you can't beat free shipping!! After my morning coffee, husbone arrived from work and we decided to put up the tree! This will be our first Christmas tree!! We bought a nice, fluffy artificial tree from Target last week --On sale!! It was so nice to see the tree up! --Pictures to come soon!!

After assembling the tree we were still in need of some more Christmas decorations, so we headed to our local Home Depot. They had some great sales going on..I was able to score lots of decorations, and we also purchased some Christmas gifts!

Friday night we made it "Date night." I've been eyeing this one restaurant, and decided it would be nice to explore it! I got all dolled up, and headed out to dinner! Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill was delicious! The food was great! The style was unique, and everything was just fabulous! It was such great night!!

Saturday I ventured off to Jo Ann Fabrics and bought some more Christmas decorations! I had some coupons, and I was able to save $61!! --Love it!

I think I've become obsessed with this season! All I want to do is decorate!! lol! Luckily the rest of the weekend was spent relaxing, and staying in!!

Ohh and don't forget..Today is Cyber Monday! So take advantage of all those online deals!!

Tips/Tricks to a Budget Friendly Holiday

We all know how stressful the holiday season can be..

That's why I love this topic! Why? Because we all need a little help. We all need suggestions to relieve that unwanted stress. --I'm looking froward to read all of your posts

Here are some of my tips/tricks to keep this holiday a budget friendly one:

Make a list of family & friends you will be giving gifts too -- It makes it easier to cross names! Organization is key!
Try to send Christmas cards to a majority of the people on your list. It's a inexpensive, memorable gift! -- Who doesn't like pictures?
Set a budget for gifts!!! And follow it!
DIY gifts! This year we will be buying mason jars and filling them with hot cocoa mix, cookie mix, and 16 bean soup mix! We will add a nice ribbon with a recipe tag!
Buy wrapping paper from Costco/BJS! It comes in bulk and it will last you years to come!
DIY Christmas decorations! Head to your local Michaels, and shop around for diy decorations, ornaments, ect..
Take advantage of online sales! Cyber Monday is November 29th and many online retailer will be offering great deals + free shipping!

Lastly, make it fun! We sometimes forget the reason for the season!

In honor of Thanksgiving week, I am going to be posting one of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes! For the past 3 years, I make this one delicious recipe from Paula Dean's cookbook! It's a creamy Pumpkin Cheesecake!

It's an easy recipe to follow, and the end result is soooo yummy!

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Ingredients

Crust:

1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs

3 tablespoons light brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 stick of melted butter

Filling:

(3) 8 ounce packages cream cheese, at room temperature

(1) 15 ounce can pureed pumpkin

3 eggs plus egg yolk

1/4 sour cream

1 1/2 cups sugar

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

For Crust:

In a medium bowl, combine crumbs, sugar, and cinnamon. Add melted butter. Press down flat into a 9 inch springform pan.

For Filling:

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add pumpkin puree, eggs, egg yolk, sour cream, sugar, and the spices. Add flour and vanilla extract. Beat together until well combined. Pour into crust. Spread out evenly and place oven for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let it sit for 15 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours.

*Make sure to add some whip cream and pair with a hot cup of coffee!! Delish!!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year.."

Can you believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow? -- Wow! Which means Christmas is right around the corner, and that means Christmas cards! This year will be our first Christmas as a married couple, and I am looking forward to making it a memorable one!

Shopping Tips/Tricks

This year I will be doing most of my shopping online! Most stores like Amazon and Overstock will be throwing some great deals out, and will be offering free shipping! -- You can't beat that!

I love the fact that I can sit at home in pajamas shopping away! I will also be checking out QVC where they also have some great items, priced just right! You can also take part of Black Friday! Which should be considered a sport! If you don't feel like making those massive lines, some stores will be holding online sales starting 12 am!! Can you tell I love online shopping? lol

Also, try to check for store coupons! Stores like Old Navy and other stores, tend to put out great coupons that can save you some $

My shopping tips/tricks are pretty simple. I suggest doing research, and check out online shopping!! We have the big online shopping day --Cyber Monday right around the corner! November 29th !!

Can someone say 3 day work week?? Wohoo!

This week will be a short one! -- Thank you Thanksgiving! Can't wait :)

This past weekend was a non busy, no fuss type of weekend. Saturday I went to get a mani/pedi! I went for a nice dark Essie color. Not sure the name of the polish, but it's just lovely! Afterwards I met husbone at home, and we bbq and watched a couple movies --Perfect afternoon! Around 7 o'clock, our tummies were craving some sweet! So we went to our local Coldstones and satisfied our sweet tooth!! This was a perfect way to end out night..

Sunday we headed to a toy Story themed party! The birthday girl was celebrating her 2nd birthday! --So cute! We saw family & friends, so it was nice to hang out, and catch up with everyone..

From there we went to our local Starbucks for a afternoon treat, and headed home to spend the rest of our night at home..

Looking forward for this short work week, and lots of eating :)

Day 1 - Christmas/Holiday Traditions

This will be our first holiday season as a married couple! --So excited to start our very own traditions this year! Our plans/traditions for this Christmas season are:

The day after Thanksgiving, we will be setting up our Christmas tree! --We just bought our tree at Target last night. We will spend the day decorating, hanging ornaments, and switching all the Fall decorations!! wohoo! Of course all this wouldn't be possible without Christmas music!!!!!

Christmas Eve/Noche Buena - we will spend it with husbones side of the family. We will be roasting a pig, and having a delicious meal!! It's usually a great night, filled with family & friends! We look forward for this night every year!! The food is that good!!

Christmas Day - We will wake up very early..and open up our presents! It will be our first Christmas morning in our house. Unfortunately it will have to be quick because husbone is on duty Christmas Day. But no worries! I will be spending the rest of the day at my parents house, opening gifts there, and eating left overs! Making catch a movie? Who knows!

The day after Christmas -- We are off to the mountains!! Every year we go and spend New Years! So I am looking forward for some cold weather, and maybe some snow :)

This week I decided to venture off to a new favorite cooking blog: My kitchen Cafe!

It's a great site for lots of unique & delicious recipes! So you should definitely add it to your favorite's!

I found this one recipe, and I can't wait to make it this week..

Shrimp Enchiladas

1/2 cup sweet red pepper, chopped
1/2 cup onion, minced
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
3 cups Monterey Jack cheese, divided (you can use half pepper-jack cheese for great results)
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup onion, chopped
8 (9-inch) flour tortillas

Directions:

Saute red pepper, onion and green pepper in 1/4 cup butter until crisp-tender. Add oregano, salt, garlic powder, pepper, cayenne pepper, cream and flour; blend well. Continue cooking for 3 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add 1 1/2 cups cheese; stir until melted. Add sour cream, stir to blend. Set aside.

In another skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Saute shrimp and 1/2 cup onion until shrimp are pink. Remove shrimp and chop; return to butter and onion. Add chopped tomatoes and 1/2 of the cheese sauce. Spoon 1/3 cup shrimp mixture into each tortilla. Sprinkle cheese on top of shrimp mixture. Roll up tightly. Arrange seam side down in a 9X13-inch glass baking dish. Spoon remaining cheese sauce over tortillas and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

Home Sweet home!!

Husbone made it back safe and sound Friday night..Indeed a nice surprise!

From that moment on, we spent it in pure relaxation!! Sleeping in, munching, couch time, movies! Paradise...

I definitely feel well rested!

We also squeezed in some errands that had to be run. Our fridge was on the empty side! No bueno..

We also discussed our holiday plans, and decided it would be nice to throw a Christmas party..A themed one! "Tacky Christmas Sweater" Party!! Can't wait to start planning!! All I can think about is Peppermint martinis!!! Planning mode is in full gear..

In other news..it's no secret that I am a Jessica Simpson fan! (This week I will be a posting a celebrity post on her)

I love her songs, her clothes, shoes, everything! So when I heard the news that she was engaged, I was stocked! Everyone deserves happiness, and the fact that she was able to find love after her divorce, and failed relationships.. I'm happy for her!

CHRISTMAS!!

Which means it's time to start Christmas shopping!

This year will be my first Christmas as a married woman. Both husbone and I will be gift giving as a married couple! Which is pretty exciting. So I decided this year I would start a new tradition in our household, by making an excel worksheet to organize our gift list. I figured we can use this list for future Christmas'.

I will use this excel worksheet for our Christmas gift list for our family and friends, and Christmas cards. I'm hoping this will make the whole gift giving process easier and painless!

Here are some helpful hints:

Make four columns on a piece of paper or create a spreadsheet. In the first column, Names, write down the names of people that you plan to give a card or gift, or both. In the second column, Cards, make a check mark for those people who you plan to send a card to. In the third column, Gift, make a check for those who will receive both a card and a gift. In the last column, Type of Gift, note the number and type of gift that the person will receive.
For those people who will be receiving cards only, note in the column, Cards, if the card will be sent via mail or given to the person by hand. Write the letter "M" for those cards to be sent by mail. Write the letter "P" for those cards that you will be giving in person.
For each person on your gift list, make a note of any gifts you know or think the person needs or wants. If you aren't sure, ask the person in a round-about manner what they would like for a gift. If this is impossible or to save time and effort, consider purchasing a gift certificate or cash card to give the person. Gift certificates purchased at specific department stores are also a good option.
Try to do all of your shopping in bulk at a central location to save time and energy. Choose stores that are located within the same vicinity so as to make your traveling between stores easier. Online shopping is a plus!

After constructing the excel worksheet, let the shopping begin!

I will do most of my shopping online! Cyber Monday here I come!! For the most part I love the idea of just sitting at home with pajamas shopping! Who doesn't? I'll also check out the local stores, and possibly get some shopping done there too.

We shall see how successful I am with my Christmas Gift List!! I am really going to try hard to stay organized!

My favorite room in our house is the bedroom.

It's the one place where I spend most of my time, and where i am the most comfortable!

Recently I've decided to look online for some bedroom inspirations! Thank God for Google!! I was able to find lots of unique ideas! I can definitely see myself spending lots of time in one of these bedrooms..

Office Inspiration!

Since marrying husbone, and moving into our house, Ive been neglecting the decorating aspect of the house.

Sure I have lots of great ideas, and inspiration..but I'm lacking one thing! Can you guess? MOTIVATION! Yes, I said it. I've been to comfortable in our nest, and have not bothered "clothing" our home sweet home.

This week, husbone is out of town. So I will have plenty of time to look through my favorite blogs and possibly be inspired to get my decorating on!

Through my search, I came across this dream office:

How fabulous would it be to have an office that looked like this? My favorite attribute of the office is the luscious chair! I might be able to incorporate a chair like this in my our office..

I would be sharing office space with husbone, so I need to also have a good balance. As much as I love the girly stuff, I need to also think of him..

I am thinking of adding a nice area rug, with a nice print. Possibly an animal print? Also, and accent table that I can place the printer or any other item. We are working with a small space, so I don't want to overcrowd the room.

The picture below shows a great inspiration board that I would love to add to one of the walls. I would love a board that I can add pictures, magazine clips, or anything else that pops!

When it comes to the color of the room, I'm thinking of mellow yellow. It's a pastel color that would go great with the light that usually shines in through the window. It's both masculine and feminine. By far my #1 contender!

My goal for the office would be to make it a haven for me! A place where I can write, read, and of course blog. A place where I can have my stationary and scrap booking materials organized. A place where I can have "my space."

At the same time, utilize the space for filing bills, and regular "house stuff."

I can't wait to get started on this project!!! I will keep you posted on the before and after!

Recipe Wednesday!

This Wednesday I decided to post a yummy hearty chili! What better recipe to brave the cold, than a filling dish!

Easy Hearty Chili

Ingredients:

2 lbs. Grounds Beef
2 medium onions, chopped
2 (15 1/2 ounce) cans chili hot beans (do not drain)
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 (14 1/2 ounce) c2 tablespoons chili powderan diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

In a skillet, cook beef and onions over medium heat until no longer pink; drain well and transfer to crock pot. Combine the next 6 ingredients with the meat mixture. Stir well, cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours. Salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with sour cream and grated cheddar cheese if desired. Serve with corn bread or crackers.

ENJOY!!

When the cat is away, the mice will play..

In my case, I will spending lots of time on the couch! Husbone will be away this week, and I am going to be having alone time. I'm not too excited about it..I miss my love!

BUT..It will be nice to lounge around the couch and watch all my favorite shows!

Oh, and of course I will be on my own for dinner, so junk food it is! You name, I will eat it! lol!

And while I am stuffing my face, I will be watching on my shows on my dvr! There is a overload of Real Housewives of Atlanta to watch!! What a guilty pleasure!!!!

Oh, and of course SHOPPING!! My latest addiction has been QVC. There is something about happy people and Christmas! 24/7 ! 365 days out of the year! I will definitely be doing some Christmas shopping this week.

So until Saturday, I will be a couch potatoe, junk food addict, QVC addict! Very sexy...

My Husbone!

Many people search a lifetime for their soul mate, love of their lives, best friend..I found him! And I am very grateful for him! He's been my rock, and my partner! He has helped me grow as a person, and has always believed in me..

I can't imagine my life without him! Our journey has just began! I can't wait to see where it take us!!

My sister

I'm not sure I would have been able to get anything accomplished without her.

She has been my right hand, and my savior in many occasions! I can't make a decision without her, and most of all, couldn't live without shopping in her closet! I am very grateful to have her in my life!

Weekend Ramblings..

Oh Monday! I loathe you! Especially when I had such a great weekend!

This weekend we ventured off to the woods! Literally!

We went canoeing/camping over the weekend, and it was awesome! I felt one with nature.

It was a great group of friends, and a great time. It was filled with hot dogs, hamburgers and s'mores!

All around a fun time!!

I took lots of pictures which I will hopefully upload soon..

On another note, my husbone is away this week and I am missing him deeply! It's only been a day...So it will be a week filled with lots of couch time, and junk food! Not too shabby!

Anyhow, bring the new week..

We are going camping!!

This weekend will be my first time camping!

I'm a bit nervous and excited all at the same time. We picked the perfect weekend, where we are having an unusual cold front in Florida. We are going to be have daytime temperatures in the 60's and night time temperature in the 40's!

We are leaving right after I get out of work, and spending the night at a local hotel. We will be waking up early and head to the site, where we will be loading up our canoes with our camping essentials.

After a 4 mile canoe ride, we will look for the spot to set up camp!

Then of course no camp site is complete without a camp fire!

Bring on the hot dogs and hamburgers!!

Oh, and some boxed wine! lol!

After sightseeing and exploring, we will settle by the campfire, and make s'mores!!!! Yummm...

Can't wait!

I try not to get too personal on my blog, but I am making an exception today.

Yesterday was Election Day. Most of us went out, and voted.

Regardless of what party you voted for, I'm proud of our system. I am proud to have that right.

Last night for my state of Florida, we elected a Marco Rubio. A man with a dream. Someone who was said to have no chance at all. Yet he never let the pundits get to him. in the end his optimism and love for our country was just too big.

I'll end this post with my favorite line from his victory speech - "No matter where I go, whatever title I may achieve, I will always be the son of exiles and will always be the heir of two generations of unfulfilled dreams.''

I've decided to add a new weekly post: Recipe Wednesday!

I think it's evident that I love food! So I decided why not make a trend out of it. As a newlywed, I am taking up the task of cooking delicious meals for husbone. It's hard for me t be creative. That's why I depend so much on blogs, and other recipe sights for inspiration!

This recipe below is easy and fun to make! Especially if you are craving Mexican!

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

allrecipes

Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 cup salsa (I used enchilada sauce)
2 cups chopped cooked chicken breast meat
1 (15.5 ounce) can pinto beans, drained
6 (6 inch) flour tortillas
2 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese and salsa. Cook, stirring until melted and well blended. Stir in chicken and pinto beans. Fill tortillas with the mixture, roll and place into the prepared baking dish. Spread cheese over the top. Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until heated through. Garnish with your favorite toppings such as lettuce and tomatoes, or sour cream.

Hello November...I can't believe you are here.

The weather is changing, sweaters are coming out, and of course Thanksgiving is right around the corner! Which means pumpkin pie cheesecake! Oh I love pumpkin pie cheesecake!

It's just a beautiful time of year! Lots to look forward for :)

This month will be a busy one! We have lots planned:

November 2nd - Election Day! My Superbowl!
November 5,6, and 7th - My first camping trip!
November 25th - Thanksgiving!
November 26th - Black Friday!! aka Lots of shopping!

Definitely an active November! I'm scared this month will flash before our eyes..

Happy Halloween!!

Well almost..This weekend we will be celebrating our first Halloween as a married couple! I can't wait to buy the Halloween candy, and fill the bowl for all the kiddies that will be knocking on the door. We will also be attending a Halloween party! So we will be getting all dressed up, and have a fun night.

Plus a fun fact, my father's birthday is on Halloween so we will most likely be cutting a cake for him and sing him "happy birthday."

It looks like it will be an eventful weekend!

So I hope everyone has a safe, fun Halloween!! Make sure not to eat too much candy!!

Does time travel really exist? Is it possible?

Recently there was a story that made headlines! A 1928 unreleased footage, of a Charlie Chaplin film shows what people are calling a woman speaking on a cellphone! Could this be a time traveler?

The authenticity of this footage has yet to be confirmed, but it brings up the idea whether this could be possible! Who knows? We've seen in movies that scientists, even our government have the accessibility to time travel. Could there be people in our world that have created a way to do so?

{Sigh} Back to reality!

This weekend we decided to take off and enjoy some delicious food and drinks at the International Food & Wine Festival in Epcot {Orlando} We had a great time! We tasted so many different kinds of food! It was an overload of food! Plus we also tasted all types of wines, beers, and of course champagnes! It was divine!

I can't wait till next year!

On Sunday we ventured of to Downtown Disney, grabbed some lunch and headed straight to the Outlet Mall! All in all is was a great weekend! So sad to see it end, but we have Halloween right around the corner....

In just a few hours, husbone and I will be leaving on a much needed getaway! For the past couple of years, we have made it a tradition to drive up to Orlando {3 hours away} with our closest friends, and spend a day eating & drinking in one of the most magical places in the world: Disney World! Specifically Epcot!

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is a great way to tour the park and all it's featured countries. Taste bits and pieces from every country! Oh and of course wine, beer, and most of all champagne!!

I can't wait!

This weekend was basically all about "me & you." The weekend was spent ordering in, and eating in! Just what the doctor ordered. After a long work week, it was nice to light up some candles, and have some couch time! I mean hello! That's why we have such a comfy couch :)

All in all it was a nice weekend! Pretty psyched about this week! Many big things happening, plus we leave on Friday for a mini getaway!

Yes, I am alive! I have neglected this blog for a while now. To be honest, I have no urge to write, or blog. I am more devoted to the other blogs that I read than my own! Very sad.

And it's not like I have nothing to blog about. I have TONS of things! I'm still missing honeymoon pictures, and reviews. Plus, I definitely have to blog about our North Carolina trip we took for the 4th of July. And of course the rest of the daily stuff.

I have been going going through a transition. First it was getting married, then it was finding a job, and then it was juggling a job, and everything else! Thank God we don't have kids, if not they would have been neglected as well lol!

Anyhow, to make a long story short. I made a promise to myself to get thins blog back to order. Blogging routinely is a must, and definitely remodel the blog! It seems so blah!

So yeah, to whomever is still around, and reading this, thank you for being a loyal reader! I promise to have fun and interesting things up soon :)
